I just got this bass recently from a fellow forum member, but as my never-ending appetite for trying new basses dictates, I can pass this one on. It's an exceptional example of Warwick basses:
2001, made-in-Germany Warwick Corvette FNA, 5-strings, left-handed.
-Swamp ash body
-Flame maple top
-Honey finish
-Ovankol neck
-Wenge fretboard
-Gold hardware
-Original Seymour Duncan preamp (bass, treble, and adjustable contour pull-up knob)
-Three-way switch (series, parallel, and single coil)
-MEC pickups
-Dunlop Straplocks installed
-Weight is only 9.1 lb!
-Very comfortable neck, much slimmer than the typical Warwick neck. I'm very picky about neck thickness, and I can play this bass all day long.
Comes with original Warwick gig bag, and a brand-new Road Runner hard case. It also includes the original Warwick Owner's Kit, which includes wax, wrenches, manual, and a sticker.
Condition: it's in excellent-plus condition. The frets have minimal signs of wear. The only cosmetic flaws are some tiny nicks around the area where your plucking hand rests. It seems that a previous owner wore maybe a wristwatch while playing, so there are tiny marks in the wood, but they are very difficult to see or photograph. There might be a tiny nick or two around the body, but nothing worth discussing. This bass has been very well maintained and cared for.
Neck is perfectly straight and action is as low as you want it. So this basses are now available only through the Custom Shop and the last ones available had a price of more than $3000?
I'm just trying to get what I have in it; asking $950 plus actually shipping. Paypal okay (verified members and confirmed address). Will ship internationally. Please PM me with your city and country for a shipping quote.
Thanks.
