awesome, and it seems you lucked out I went on amazon today to give some hints to my girlfriend and they now bumped the price up to 539.00. How is the bridge jank, just looks wise or is the whole "cancels out sympathetic strings" a gimmick? By the way looks wise that bass looks stunning. |

Wow 350. Thats nice as deal. I have the 4 string version and yes the gold does take some time to get used to. BUT after you get some compliments on it. You should like it. I also have a 5 string studio. For the price on shecs they cant be beat imo. |

I think the gold helps warm up the browns and top. Chrome would make the bass look much "cooler" IMHO... definitely a good-looking bass, and glad to hear you like the sound/EQ aspect... and, you can't beat that price.... $350!...you stole that thang....! |

I agree the gold hardware does match and complement the overall look. I am going to try black knobs first and leave the rest. I think that's the part that's so visually offensive to me at first glance. I dunno. |

Jeez. I just looked up the prices of single string bass bridges. At about $35 a string, I think I'll live with gold afterall. |

Fantastic score! I've always been curious about those 6 string Schecters myself. I've only tried a 6 string once, and it was a cheap lefty Brownsville that was sitting at Sam Ash forever. To my surprise, I got around on it relatively fast, and it came easier to me than a 5 string. Not sure why, perhaps because I already play guitar. Aesthetically, the only thing I'm not crazy about on your Schecter is the gold knobs as well. I'd keep the gold hardware. Makes it look more "boutique", IMO. Black knobs might work. How about some darker wood knobs to match the bass's trim? i.e. walnut?: http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/guitarknobs_wood.htm |

Ah, good idea. They also have rosewood knobs too, which would match the fingerboard |

I bought an inexpensive mono bridges awhile back for my custom five string, and it was about $35 or so off eBay. I typed in "individual bass guitar bridges", and came up with this page... http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R4 ... Categories And here's a page of chrome bridges you can buy individually at $7.19 a piece. I put the gold version on my bass, and they work just fine, with precise adjusting for intonation. http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-STRING-BASS-G ... 2569e1f151 Black might also look good, to go with the pickups and fingerboard... |

Matt, meant to say that I had bought a five-string set of mono bridges off eBay for about $35 or so for a complete set. They fit the existing holes of the mono bridges I took off my bass, and allowed me to adjust the intonation much better than the original bridges. For the price, I think you can't go wrong.... |
