Hey fellas i have recently acquired a Warwick Rock Bass Corvette Basic with MEC dynamic correction pickups (passive). I am not good or very meticulous about tones but this bass sounds a little chooch... Love the looks and feel of it but it but it could definitely use an upgrade. I have a ground issue to resolve and plan to shield the cavities but i'm looking into adding a Darkglass Tone Capsule to it. Would those pickups work or would i need to upgrade the pickups too? If so, what would you guys recommend? Thanks! |

hey paulo - I have no direct experience with the Darkglass - but I soon will, as I have one here on my bench ready to load into a Regenerator for evaluation. from what I heard coming thru the back wall at NAMM (Darkglass was directly behind us, with only a curtain seperating our sonic disturbances from each other) these should work nicely with most any passive pickups. not sure how the MECs will sound, but in transparency I can say I'm not an MEC fan so I'm already biased on what I'd personally do |

Thanks for the reply! I guess I'm gonna have to try and see how it will sound, if sounds bad I'll replace the pickups but not sure about what to get. Frankie over best bass gear is helping me to pick all the stuff, we'll see how it's gonna come out! |

Have Rod wind you a set of his Honey Badger pups. They're awesome. |
