Can someone recommend me a good one for pickup installation? Keep in mind I'm not a pro, this would be for my own use but I'd like it to be able to hold consistent temperature (obviously) and be a quality low cost unit. Thanks! |

I use a 30 watt Weller soldering station. A great feature is the variable temp control and sponge holder. I do quite a bit of soldering and typically get 5+ years out of a unit before the iron gives up All the best, R |

I use this one. Fairly decent, holds temperature at different levels, consistent, and the "station" is actually quite comfortable. For 20 bucks, not much more you can ask for. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0029N ... hs_product |

That's the same unit that Build Your Own Clone sells, thay say it's the best you can buy without spending $100. I just got one, haven't used it yet. I have a Radio Shack 40 watt that I use for amp and guitar, and a 15 watt for PCB boards. |
