Hi everyone - I have a black lefty 1980s Squier P-bass that I haven't used in years. A long time ago, I took the frets off and sanded the short-scale neck down to create a homemade fretless and that pretty much ended its life as a stage instrument, although it records fine if I recall. It's been in it's case for 20 years and prob has no resale value so I was thinking of scavenging the electronics & hardware for something else and junking the rest. Does anyone know how these pick-ups compare to modern MIJ stuff? I always thought they sounded great but never A/B'd them with anything. Anything else I should know about tuners/bridge etc.?

Thanks in advance!
