I know I am old, and I fully agree theses stickers are a great learning tool however how much easier can it get. If you think about all the tools out there now with Songsterr, Youtube lessons, MP3's for instant playback. I feel it makes tuning your bass to the same pitch as your turntable to learn songs look like rubbing two sticks together for Fire. I was in a music store with my daughter the other day and I saw the Mel Bay Book for Introductory Bass. Outside of an updated cover this is the same book I used in the mid 70's. That's an interesting approach. Anything that helps you know the instrument is a good thing. I wouldn't teach my students shit until they at least knew the fingerboard. |
