I saw this a few years ago... it's amazing.

Love the dude with no shirt just walking around work like he's a badass... and the other poor souls spraying nitro without a respirator. Yikes.

The one thing that surprised me the most was the high production amount and number of employees... I always assumed the shop was a little more intimate and a bit less busy back in '59.

Very, very cool.

Love this video - it's got it all - Leo, George Fullerton's dad, shirtless factory workers, it's so old school factory - reminds me of my dad's woodworking business on a bigger scale.

Awesome! I can totally relate to this right now as I am in a shoe factory in southern China!

Such a laid-back work environment... and SO many OSHA violations!

What's so impressive is the way these craftsmen deftly handle the wood through the various saws, and sanders, with a precision that rivals today's CNC machines, and, with speed and accuracy. The ladies are working casually in dresses... it's almost surreal how casual everyone is, and yet it's a finely honed work force! No wonder the 50's and 60's Fender guitars and basses have so much mojo - they're made by hand, with love!

Agreed with NoXX - the first thing I thought of was how similar it looks to the manufacturing plants I've been to in China. Truly the torch has been passed for a new century.

Amazing footage.
