I'm not getting email notifications when PM's are sent my way. I haven't touched my profile in a few weeks .... this started occurring about 24 hours ago.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

It's odd- I get the updates from threads directly into my inbox (topic reply notification), but for Gmail the PM' notifications go into the spam for the reason i indicated (and there's no way to tell it not to do that as far as I can see). To my eye, the headers and everything look the same, so I do not know why it singles out one type and not another.

Bottom line i guess - we need to check our spam folders more often

When I went to my spam folder and clicked the checkbox next to the message, a button above it appeared saying "not spam." I clicked that. Maybe that will allow future notifications in the inbox.


It might have to do with the type of e-mail server LeftyBassist uses. I remember one of our IT guys at work saying that mail coming from a certain kind of server (SMTP, maybe?) can get flagged as spam.

Since you brought it up, one problem I am having is that I am not staying logged in. I get logged out frequently, despite checking the "keep me logged in" box.

It could likely be a browser problem, rather than a problem with the forum.

I found a trick, at least for Gmail. I added the private message e-mail address, a1a86699@telus.net, as a contact. Since then, the private message notification e-mails have been going to the inbox, rather than the spam folder.
