Hello , I have the "opportunity" to buy a JCM bass cabinet for 550 euros. It has 4 x 12 Celestion Speakers and 260 Watt. Built in 1987. it's not the one from the picture but it's exactly the same. It's in pretty good condition. Is this worth the money? |

Sorry, I really have no clue as to it's value, or if it should be used for a bass. Aren't these voiced for a guitar? |

You could try emailing Arni, he plays through a JCM800 Bass Series halfstack. http://www.leftybass.com/e_start.htm |

I had the 400W model, it was loud as hell, great cab. There where 3 different kind of them in the 80's, with 65, 80 and 100w speakers, all Celestions. I dont know why they had different speakers, but the cabs where the same size. I'd say its worth 500-600 € in good conditions, but you can find them cheaper since many players dont like the size and weight of them. i only sold mine (for 550 €) because i got an old '78 JMP cab to suit my JMP head, i love the sound of Marshall tube heads. P.S. what amp are you going to use it with? I dont know how it would sound with a transistor amp. |
