Hello ,

I have the "opportunity" to buy a JCM bass cabinet for 550 euros.
It has 4 x 12 Celestion Speakers and 260 Watt.
Built in 1987.

it's not the one from the picture but it's exactly the same.

It's in pretty good condition.

Is this worth the money?

Sorry, I really have no clue as to it's value, or if it should be used for a bass. Aren't these voiced for a guitar?

You could try emailing Arni, he plays through a JCM800 Bass Series halfstack.

I had the 400W model, it was loud as hell, great cab.
There where 3 different kind of them in the 80's, with 65, 80 and 100w speakers, all Celestions.
I dont know why they had different speakers, but the cabs where the same size. I'd say its worth 500-600 € in good conditions, but you can find them cheaper since many players dont like the size and weight of them.
i only sold mine (for 550 €) because i got an old '78 JMP cab to suit my JMP head, i love the sound of Marshall tube heads.

P.S. what amp are you going to use it with? I dont know how it would sound with a transistor amp.
