:? Who needs shielding anyways with single coil pickups.

Don't get me wrong, I do my own shielding but at least freaking spray shield the cavity... Sheeze ;)

My '64 custom shop isn't shielded... they weren't shielded when they came out in '64 either.

I've never had a problem with noise.

In fact, I don't think any of my Fenders have shielded control cavities.

If I was having issues, I would look into shielding... but I never have.

Maybe I've been lucky or something.
