I love that it's strung righty, that's how I play. |

It isn't strung that way anymore. It's beat to hell, but otherwise a very cool bass. |

Yep, it's mine Peter. It was not a bass I was expecting to buy but it just fell into my lap a couple weeks ago. I got it locally (quite literally, the seller was only about 10 minutes from my place). It needs some work to get it back to 100% playability (badly needs a set-up/fret dressing/etc.) but once I get it tuned up it's an all original 1973 Fender Precision. Sunbust/Tort guard/Maple board. It's very beaten cosmetically but I love the look. I can say with easy certainty that it's the nicest Fender P Bass I've ever owned. It has a very comfy "B" width neck that's a hair smaller than a typical B neck width, weighs a measely 8.15 lbs. on the digital scale(!) and the stock electronics sound really killer. It's a genuine road dog. I bought it from the original owner who played it 6 nights a week in a bar band in the 70's for about 14 years, then switched to guitar and didn't look at it for more than an hour in the following 20 years. In typical lefty Fender fashion, it dates as a '73 by the serial number, but the neck is date stamped as a '72.
