He's still recognizable! Looks like a nice guy.... how was the show? What strings did you pull to get back stage? |

He was a very nice guy, we talked about The Beatles(his idea not mine). My wife's best friend works for Peter and asked if I wanted to meet him. It was a GREAT show. Nesmith played Gretsch 12-string all night except for the last tune he switched to a black Strat. Dolenz has the most stange drumkit arrangement on earth, its bizarre. He played drums about a third of the show, played acoustic guitar on several tunes, and tympani on "Randy Scouse Git". Bass player played an Epiphone Jack Casady most of the night but switched to a white Hagstrom hollowbody(one of the new ones) for a few songs. The Epi was a dull blur but the Hag sounded great, punchy with great note definition. Guitarist played a guitar that I didn't recognize but I asked him backstage after the show and he told me it was an ESP. Red with white pickguard, mini humbuckers at neck and bridge, kinda Jazzmaster/Jaguar shaped, with reversed headstock. Switched to a white Firebird ocassionally. Drummer had a DW kit. They also had a keyboardist, sax/flute player, percussionist, and acoustic guitarist. |

Wow, sounds like a great show! Other than Davy, had no idea the rest of the Monkees were still out there gigging for the nostalgia crowd.... would have loved to have been in your shoes that night! Thanks for all of the gig info.... |
