Here is a link I received today about a band I was playing with called Wild Unit with guitar player Michel Cusson (Uzeb). That was almost 20 years ago.

I miss playing that kind of music

Enjoy

Man, you guys are Smokin'!!! :o And the guitar player is HoT!!! Killer stuff Sly! 8-)

They should have shown you playing the unison riffs with the band though; it's always more impressive when the bass player does it!

Thank you.

Playing so much pop stuff and studio these past years, I still have a hard time thinking that I was playing that kind of stuff before. I miss it.

Also Michel Cusson (guit) did form the iconic fusion band Uzeb with bass superstar Alain Caron. So it was a real privilege to be part of Michel's new band.

Been watching parts one and three... helluva alto sax in part two, then finally, the bass gets featured - bass solo! - at about 5:25 in.....

ThanksTb.

This is my main bass, a custom 5 strings that was built by Montreal luthier Pierre Laporte. It is still my best bass over all those years.

It is made of wild birch with a neck-thru maple neck with graphite strips under an ebony fingerboard, 24 frets and 35". This bass is now 25 years old. Pretty awesome for the time imo. I have Ken Smith soap bars without preamp and a KS bridge also. Very basic but very versatile and the best B string ever!

For the bass kit, this was my "Wall of Bass" made of Trace Elliott. 1X15,4X10 and 4X4 or 5"( I don't remember) on each side!!! That was a great kit.
It was powered by Crest Audio and my preamp is still my old Demeter that I bought directly from James in his garage in L.A.

Thanks for asking ;)

Awesome!
But Good Lord what's wrong with the audience? How come they weren't up dancin' around like monkeys on crack?!

Great playing Sly!
