Back in the days of Winterland in S.F., I always marveled at the bank of Marshalls the guitar played had behind him. Don't know for sure, but it always seemed like there were at least five double-stacks, with a Marshall head on top of every one, with tubes and power lights gleaming in the semi-darkness. One of the reasons I saw Ronnie Montrose who just recently passed away) every time he played there... Marshall/Fender... without them, who knows if modern electric amps and Rock would be quite the same.... RIP Jim... |
