 Post subject: Hofner Icon vs Douglas Violin Bass

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with either the Hofner Icon or Douglas Violin bass? Pretty much the only cheaper bass that I can find that's somewhat interesting looking. I would rather get a p bass (I realize neither of these basses will sound like a pbass), but I'd have to spend 1k as you all know.

Thanks for any insight. Also, cool website for us suffering ones... :lol:
