Many of you may know about him, but I just discovered long-time lefty bassist Jim Leverton. He's been performing and recording since the sixties. Here are some of his clips:
With Fat Mattress in 1968 (Noel Redding's other band, Noel's playing guitar here; they sometimes opened for The Jimmy Hendrix Experience. One site I looked at claimed that Jim did some of the backing vocals on the recording of Hendrix's 'Fire'):

Jim played for several bands in the 70s, including Savoy Brown and Juicy Lucy, then started collaborating with Steve Marriot. There is an album called Majic Mijits with Steve Marriot and Ronnie Lane that Jim played on also. Here is a performance from 1985 with Jim on vocals:

He currently plays with 3 bands that I could find online: Caravan, the Blues Devils, and an acoustic duo (he also plays guitar) with one of the members of Caravan. Here is a recent Caravan Clip with an interesting title:

Pretty amazing career!

Many thanks for posting these. Fantastic research and links. That Fat Mattress clip is amazing. So cool to see a lefty player in action that far back (Sir Paul aside), and especially on a super rare Fender J too. It even looks like Paul's block inlay J. I wonder...

Side note: Caravan was/is such a grossly underrated/underappreciated prog rock band. "In the Land of Grey and Pink" should be in everyone's music collection.
