To my fellow father brethren, I want to wish everyone a happy father's day. My wife bought me a few things, accessories for my grill, etc., but the most notable item is a pair of lefty scissors from a site called leftyscorner.com. She's finally acknowledged that my years of griping might be valid. If you've never tried lefty scissors, get them. You'll be amazed by the comfort. It's amazing what we have to put up with and (eventually) accept as normal even for something as trivial as a pair of scissors. |

Happy Fathers day to all the members and visitors here @ Leftybassist. My family is taking me out tonight for Father’s Day to see Esperanza Spalding at a really nice outdoor venue right here in my home town Lancaster Pennsylvania. Figures it’s my gift since it’s a free show. But she is amazing and her voice is as amazing as here bass playing… |

Happy Daddy Day to all you dad's out there (you know who you are!). Family bought me a new receiver for the home theater system. Which was a great idea as our old one is dying. |

All in all a great night. Weather was perfect and here tone was great. I must say I was really digging her drummer, wow what a player. We sat a little away so the pisc are not the best but you can see her killing it on a fretless Fender Jazz....

Awesome gift and show pix.  I'd love to see her live sometime, as every video clip I've seen really impressed me. Forgot to mention: my wife told me she ordered the grill I had my eyes on for a while to go with the accessories. Okay, it's not a lefty bass, but I could easily make the argument that a rack of hickory smoked baby back ribs brings me more enjoyment.  So, BBQ at my house this summer. BYOB (Bring your own bass).
