In the past, the USPS has offered me the best price for sending guitars. I have Strat to mail. Who do you use, and how much was it last time you shipped a guitar or bass? Thanks. |

I think USPS is always going to be your most cost efficient shipping source. I've always used them, shipped Priority Mail, and paid for the amount of insurance needed to replace the instrument... never had a problem though; nothing's been lost. My biggest problem these days is, I live in Hawaii, so shipping costs have soared to the point that shipping a bass is anywhere from $120-to-$150... only ten years ago or so, it was only $50-$75... consider yourself lucky that you're on the "Mainland", and costs are very affordable for you... especially when buying gear from an online music store, and they ship for free... |

Depends. You can go online and get cost comparisons for different carriers: https://onlineshippingcalculator.com Don't forget to factor in insurance and any other additional costs if necessary (i.e. signature required). The majority of my sales are on Reverb these days. They have excellent discount shipping rates if you buy shipping through them, and they'll also give you different carrier options. |

I'm selling through reverb too. I'll go and see if I can add it to my listing. Thanks. |
