I've found a few bass type online magazines. The usual suspects, the usual ass kissing in every gear review. Fender should pay the corporation with the titles Total Guitar, Guitar World, Bass Player--I don't know if I've ever read a really bad review of anything in those mags. What bass sites do you visit the most for interviews, news, and reviews? |

I lurk here and on TalkBass daily, but I only post maybe once per week. If I'm looking for specific information or a review on a particular product, I let Google (or YouTube) lead the way. There's another forum that I hang out in, but it's weird and small (only a couple dozen members). We're all bass players, though, and basically just wanted a space free of TB's moderation. It started when a few of us got asked to take our conversation out of the TB G&L club thread because we talked about punk rock too much. We started our own thread on TB, and hit 35,000 posts in just a few months before the mods shut it down because, according to them, it: "just adds to the moderation load." So if you're feeling adventurous, throw on your hazmat suit, pop a Dramamine, and join us at the Sarcastic Coffee Technology Music & Movie Club: https://sctmmc.com/forums/ |
