Good morning!(5:20 am in Florida) Just signed on as I just discovered this website last night! AWESOME! We now have our own club (as it were) . Whom ever started this a huge thank-you! I was actually starting to feel the "sting" of right vs left bass discrimination. So again a gigantic thanx from me. I willl be soliciting advice from this "room" as I am taking the plunge to have a custom made bass in the future and have a ton of questions.

Welcome on board! We have all felt the discrimination for a long time...Together we can have more weight to change this.

Maybe Andrew or Peter can remind everyone how it all started?

Hi Everyone

I have been lurking on this site for like three and a half years, but always was on the move, and never had any money, and basically was too lazy too register. I've been watching these awesome basses come and go for so long, it seems. This is a great site though. I've learned quite a bit from it. I also appreciate how sellers sometimes put it up for sale here before ebay so us true lefties a shot at it first. This seems like a true player's forum.

Anyways, hello from Buffalo NY

You speaketh da troof, fine sir.

I always give the locals a crack at my gear here first before I list it anywhere else. Frankly, I'd just plain rather see someone here get it who I "know," rather than someone else who might not really appreciate it... it just feels right to do it that way.

Anyway... welcome!

I feel for you in Pitt and Buffalo, I grew up in Minnesota.(thus the Florida address). I am still a trucker,I just don't go where it snows. Fla to Ga to Ca and back. I have found two Luthiers I really like. Stambaugh designs and Daniel Fernandez via The low end shop in Tenn. Any thoughts? any advice?

Hi lucky7, nice to have you here. I recommend starting a thread in the bass section regarding these two builders, I'm sure you'll find some people here familiar with their work.

Two good names in the business, but just keep watching the posts here at Leftybassist... although I don't think you can go wrong with Rod at Regenerate... Check out his threads.....

greetings Alan, lots of fun topics and small enough in membership that you can actually "keep-up" with the craziness here.

glad you could come on board the board.

Been here for a year or so... love the site, nice to know that there are quite a few other lefties out there. I've only been playing for about 2 years and am still learning... driving the family nuts sometimes but it's fun for me.

thanks,

mark

Welcome aboard!!
Speaking of driving the folks nutz, i can relate (as I'm sure most of us can) ... I used to drive my mother insane in the pre-digital age whilst learning how to play all of Live at Leeds from a dinky mono phonograph (remember those?) for countless hours on end.
