Now I really dug the Hagstrom Deuce. Semi-hollowbody, Alnico V pickups custom wound by Hagstrom in Germany, CTS pots. They only had a SS bass amp to play it through and it gave up some great clean tones. I can only imagine what it would sound like through a good boutique tube amp or two. At $600 street, this is a steal!
The other (blue) guitar had ceramic pups and a kinda weird 3 way toggle tone switch on the lower bout. An interesting idea, but did not cut the mustard tonally on the SS amp. I can see it having some good possibility with a good tube amp. I'd swap out the ceramic pups too, not a big fan of those in general.
