Yep... she's perty, alright.

Her name is Cheyenne Kimball (she's 19), and after a quick Google search, it appears as though she's actually quite famous.

...so I think it's safe to assume that she plays it like that since it's easier to learn the chords because a mandolin is essentially "strung backwards" for guitar players already (GDAE).

I remember picking up my buddy's mandolin one time and started strumming a bunch of chords on it and he was like, "When did you learn how to play the mandolin?!?!?!"

Dang, it's an Epiphone!! Ya'd think someone like Collings or Breedlove would be knocking on her door with an endorsement deal ....
