I have been wanting an old Parlor Guitar for awhile and as luck would have it, I found one.
I wanted something to repair that was repairable and a local estate sale bore fruit. Now while
I work on it I am also looking for clues as to who (company) may have made it. It has no paper
label, so I am left with looking at the appointments on the instrument and comparing them
photos online. I have narrowed it down to a couple of companies but thought I'd ask you all.
Currently my belief is a Lyon & Healy.

Someone at some point in the past, thinking in the late 50's or 60's converted it to a pin bridge.
It started life with a tailpiece, which I did find, though it is not correct for this guitar. The back
and side woods are a curly oak which is a clue. The top is spruce, the neck appears to be
mahogany and the fret board is ebony.

Please let me know if you have any ideas, and Thanks!

Thanks for asking!
Nothing on the information side. There is a lot of really interesting information out there!
I have been reading a lot on and off line. I think one of the things that caught my eye,
was the fact that it was consider bad manners to put the name of the company on the
headstock of an instrument! It was considered self promoting and looked down on. Gibson
was one of the companies that started to break that rule.
