I went to see Keb Mo' last week-end in Tahoe, his bass player is the talented left-handed bassist Stan Sargeant. His instruments are strung upside-down and I was very impressed by his slap technique, hitting the lower strings of his Musicman SR5 with his fingers and popping with his thumb. I had never seen a lefty with a bass strung upside down doing that successfully before. Quite impressive. He was also using a great sounding EUB but I guess it is just a regular right-handed instrument.

Yup... He is a great player. Check on his site. There is a clip where he is doing a solo on a righty Spector (white).

North Sea Jazz Festival.. Mute the page loop music first before viewing videos.
