My wife and I watched the 2014 documentary on jazz trumpet player Clark Terry titled "Keep on Keepin' On" this weekend. He was a great player, playing with everyone from Count Basie and Duke Ellington to Miles Davis and Quincy Jones, but the really incredible part was his attitude and influence on generations of musicians. The story focuses on his mentoring of a young jazz pianist, and it delves into Clark's massive influence on thousands of aspiring musicians. If you ever get a chance, check it out. I saw it on movies on demand on TWC cable here in the US; hopefully it's out there in other places. It is about music, but it is also about how to live your life and what really matters. Very inspiring!

Got a chance to watch this the other night. Very inspiring indeed. What a great man and musician. He just passed away a couple of weeks ago at the age of 94. He was a fine example of how musicians should live and share their gift.
