I stumbled on this amazing French jazz group while browsing youtube. Here is their video:

I don't know French, I was hoping one of our French speaking board members could help. From what I can tell, the band's name is LP Septet, and they are from Grenoble, France. I think this is from their first album. The bassist is named Lilian Palomas. I can't find any more about him either. They have a website, but unfortunately I can't read it! I did download the music from iTunes, it's smart to put the link right there on the youtube video. Here's their website:

I really like their music; can you tell me any more about them? Thanks.

I don't know them but you seem to have it right. LP I guess is for the bass player's name. The recording was done in Grenoble. It doesn't mean they come from there though.

I'll check it out.

There is very little information on them anywhere. They are an un-signed band so no label is promoting them.
The bassist is also the composer. The bass he is playing is a new Fender Deluxe Jazz. You can like their Facebook page but they don't seem to post that much.

Sorry I can not help more.

Thanks Frenchy! Haha the initials for the band name - did not think of that. Makes sense they are unsigned so there is little info on them.

I just bought an MP3 version of their album entitled LP Septet. Lilian Palomas is the bass player and writer of this outfit. The album is very good and contains other slap bass solos. Not much more info available on this band at present.

Below is a link to their album on Amazon
