Interesting... don't recall seeing a neck glued together like that... any other basses like that you can name?

Nice! I used to want one of these pretty bad. I have its brother the G Ninety guitar. It's a great guitar.

Anything by G&L up to around 2006-2007. These had a so-called "bi-cut" neck that had the truss rod put in from the side. I also had a Carvin LB75 for a while with a two-piece neck. It's odd Peavey chose to match a piece of flamed maple to a piece of plain maple though :)
