Opinions please: why is it that I can buy a brand new Roscoe for about the same money as this VERY simple Lakland. Having 2 Roscoes, it seems to me that this bass is overpriced by at least $1000, maybe more. Thoughts? |

OK, hmmmm... I just checked out the Lakland web site, and listened to the sound samples of this bass. Holy s**t ! That sounds incredibly fat, warm, punchy, and even. I also get the concept now: an accurate reproduction of a vintage Precision. |

The blocks and binding are a pretty expensive upgrade on a Lakland too, you'd be looking at a cheaper bass without them. |

$800 UPCHARGE FOR BLOCKS AND BINDINGS.... Whoops, sorry for yelling. My Lakland JO5 I bought used on the bay had this config and confirmed from Lakland the upgrade charge... and wait! It's a GREAT looking upgrade. My bass pics are up on leftybassist somewhere here. |

Bottom of the page for pic. The block inlays and binding is worth the upgrade... Trust me. viewtopic.php?f=13&t=614 |
