Holy S**t! I always wanted a P Bass, but I prefer something from the 1960s (personal preferance) |

if it turns out to be what the seller claims, you can't beat that price with a stick. Not a lot of 73 anythings out there. |

Yes that is a good price considering that it's "vintage". If I had the $$$ I would offer the guy $800 period, it would cost $75 to ship it. It is sufficently trashed that I would do a refinish. Replace the EMG with a better pup. There is no case and Fenders of that era all came with cases. The bass weighs 10 pounds, so it is one of the "heavy 70's" |

It ran me about $70 to get my '73 PUP rewound by them to vintage P specs, and now it sounds amazing: http://cgi.ebay.com/1973-4-FENDER-PRECI ... dZViewItem |

I had someone come over to my place with his 79 Jazz. he had put in the stacked hum cancelling pups into his bass. I was totally bowled over by the classic tones that just oozed from his bass. |
