Then don't search for lefty basses in Australia
Although I do feel that shipping amount is rediculous. A few months back there was a lefty Fender Musicmaster auctioned in Australia with only about $100 shipping to almost anywhere in the world.

Those SRXs are nice basses indeed, very clear and punchy sounding. If you're in a modern metalband and need to cut through a massive wall of Triple Rectifier distortion, basses like these are definitely the way to look.

Sounds like my kinda bass..... ha!! I got my players covered and some going up on leftybassist very soon. Got my eyes on something else. Nice bass tho. Never seen one of these in left handed so it must be a proto/demo run.

Nope, it's an actual production model. I've just never seen it in black before. Over here in the Netherlands, I've only seen them come by in natural ash. I've played a couple of them and they're great basses.

I hardly ever see one lefty here in the US, I wind up playing them upside down at the stores

Ibanez is terrible about letting the public know what models they offer lefty. I found my AGB200L completely by accident, and if you go to their website there's no mention of them being available lefty.

Agreed pjmuck, although they do tell you about like 1 or 2 lefties that they have, but it would fall under the Soungear series. I found at least 3 good lefties from there (SR300, SR500, and something else)
