How'd you manage to get a second neck? EB doesn't sell them separately, I believe. |

I had a birdseye maple neck on my '97 Stingray and the damn neck would bow up like a crossbow every other week and required constant tweaking. I think that bass was a lemon and turned me off wanting another EB bass for years, though I've also found the maple neck on my '80 Sabre to be more temperamental than any of the other rosewood EB basses I own too. Generally, though, I do prefer maple necks over rosewood, at least when going for a snappier tone as with a J, but I would love to find an old vintage rosewood neck P some day because there is a noticeable tonal difference, IMO. |

I really don't know which neck i prefer, but when it comes to appearance, i wouold have to say maple neck with Rosewood fretboard. |
