Apologies if this was listed here prior. Neck pocket gap looks a bit unusual for this time period, as they were pretty consistent and tight back then comparatively to 70's instruments where you could drive a small truck through them. Case is right handed, but I don't know if Fender even offered left handed cases back then or not. Otherwise, pretty cool, and $$$ of course: https://reverb.com/item/11825352-left-h ... -condition |

Was it the one Bob got the body and other parts on the auction? |

No that is not the Bass that I purchased many parts and put back together, that was a 71P bass however that was my 64P bass. I sold Alex this bass as part of a package with my 65 Strat, 67 Tele, 68 Hofner, and 74 Strat. I will say this about that bass, it was the first vintage Fender that I ever played and words cannot describe it except they got it so right the first time. I can see why over 50+ years todays builders are trying to get that Vintage Fender sound. I purchased the bass for $8K and I see Alex has it listed higher but not as high as I would have expected. He does a great job of cleaning up and taking great pictures as I almost did not recognize the bass. |
