It would take some work but that could be brought back to it's former lefty glory for sure!

I've seen that bass turn up for sale a few times before.

Paulo, seems that besides the obvious - changing the bridge back to a lefty - the most challenging repair would be the holes drilled into the right side of the body.... and getting RID of those horrible-looking "pickguards".... I know this is a righty, but just showing what a stock EB2 should look like...

Ha, ha,
I could play that just as it is - but I'd keep catching the pup selector. That was the cool thing about EB's upside down with the rotary pup selector. All I'd have to do then is reverse the control plate butchery...
...but I think I'd pass

I don't think so. But beyond the initial excitement of it being an "alleged" original lefty (can you really be sure? What else might be lurking under those "pick guards"? I'd have to see it with those taken off) the reality is that there's so many holes in it now that it would actually be more work to convert it back to lefty than if you converted an original righty to lefty. Not worth messing with.

I wrote the seller back when it was on ebay, he sent me a photo of the dot markers, it is indeed a left handed but he said he didn't wanted to remove the plastic to see what's under.
If I recall he said he bought it like that and never done anything to it.
I think even after covering the holes it would be possible to hand paint to match the rest of the body with some relic work but it has to be done by a pro of course!
Worst case scenario the whole top could be refinished with relic to match the rest of the bass.
So if that was priced a little lower it could be a nice restoration project.

Paulo, are you referring to side dot markers? I can see in the pics it has side dot markers on the "right hander" side, but I can't see the "left hander" side- so you're saying it has side dots on both sides?

The righty side is painted
