Oooh, I like everything about that; Schecter, jazz pickups and a Maple fretboard.

I have a buddy in Austin, too.

Does anybody know anything about these? How they sound, what kind of quality we are looking at, what they are actually worth?

I have no room for any more I instruments, but I wouldn't mind having a quality mean-sounding passive jazz if I can get one for a good price.

I love the way this bass looks and it seems like it was built like my Model-T.
This is even harder to come by than the Model-T.
The hardware is not great but once upgraded it would be a sweet bass! Specially with that maple board! (yes I am leaning towards maple lately) :)

Yeah the Schecter stuff is surprisingly good quality. I’ve had a couple. Definitely agree that the hardware should be upgraded. Overall, well built though.

Dang. Even the pickups? I like them big slug pole pieces. They look aggressive.
The bridge did immediately jump out at me as looking cheap, I will say.

Since you brought it up, I will go on a tangent and say that Maple has always been my favorite. I do prefer Ebony in a few cases, however. I have no use for Rosewood.

I've heard big pole JB pickups sound great but never tried any.
If you ever buy this bass and don't like the pickups, go with Delano big poles and a new harness, you can find nice ones on talkbass.
A Hipshot Kickass bridge and Hipshot tuners will make this bass into a badass Jazz Bass! :)

Delano's Rule!!! Don't even need a preamp with them. Or get a set of Ulyate pickups. Howard hand winds them in \his shop in Los Angeless. I had him do my original 75 Jazz pups.. Killer!!!!

Thanks for the input, everyone!

Hmm ... based on what you guys are saying, I would end up being about $900 in when I get it to where I would like it to be.
