A bit pricey, as typical of the Japanese sellers, though free shipping. An interesting, hard to find lefty. I personally really like Spear's instruments, especially the S2 model, which I'd love to find another one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPEAR-GUITAR-Gae-Bolg4-Left-Hand-Electric-Bass-Pink-Burst-W-Gig-Bag-NEW-Lefty/122726454329?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D47507%26meid%3Dfc07cf9fea7440a583a3ebe06abd925f%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D2%26sd%3D132342574780&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851 |

(Maybe a Model 1 style?). The J neck PUP near the P PUP doesn't sound all that dissimilar. When the PUPs are used individually, it's a fun bass with some variety, and really nails P bass and Stingray tones, but blending them doesn't really offer useful sounds, IMO. The pots are righty, so the taper is minimal and blending has very little subtle ability. |
