The shape of the pickguard looks original but it looks as if it is bustin at the seams. Could be the glare but something looks different. See the note that the guard is warped.

The amber color doesn't seem orange enough, nor the finish look deep enough... especially under a flash, the top should be glistening.... not that it would really effect resale, but I wonder if the body was refinished at some point?

The guard and finish look original to me.

Now that I had a little time to think about it, I wonder what conditions the bass were under to see the Pick guard warp? Perhaps he had it off the bass and it warped?

It's weird because the pick guard looks like it expanded. Don't they usually shrink? Or maybe the screws are just too tight.

The pickguard appears matte, where it should have been glossy black. Otherwise shape and size look original. What bothers me more are the initials carved into the rear of the body :|

The guard is warped. It My '94 ATK had a warped guard, too. The guard hasn't shrunk because it's not made of nitrocellulose.
