Looks to be a little short to me. Don't know much about Rics. I've only seen the silver cases so I assumed it would be and older case maybe rare?

As far as I know, left-handed Rickenbacker basses have always come in the silver "Vintage" case - according to RIC, anyway. My 2001 4003 certainly did. My '73 4001, unfortunately, came in an aftermarket case... And, Rick cases are right/left handed - barely. So, if that really is a lefty Rick case? Yeah, it might be pretty rare... 8-)

at the risk of dating myself, back in the 70's and 80's the silver case was typically an upcharge of around $100 -$150.
