It needs a graphite neck for maximum blackness. That Rosewood is way too bright. |

Are the halves of that splitcoil really wide, or is the string spacing really narrow? There's three strings over each half! |

I wonder if that influences the tone and the string to string balance in volume, when the middle strings are amplified by both coils rather than just one half. |
