Low feedback and boatloads and boatloads of incorrect info in the item details.

Well, it's 100% feedback, just not a lot of it :)

The info is for the wrong bass. That's what happens when you let eBay fill it out for you based on other peoples' listings.

Matt this is a great price for this bass comparing with the ones that popped up over the past couple of years, if I didn't had mine I would go for it at the buy it now price!
The description is fine and I bet if you don't pull the trigger on it someone else will buy it and relist it for $1800...
Sometimes you gotta take chances... Don't miss it!

Asking prices are meaningless.

When looking at Ebay sales over the last 90 days, 70's Musicmasters top out at $800.

Did you only look at right handed listings though? That tends to be the going rate for them. Lefties usually go much higher, and are much harder to find. I sold mine for $1200 or $1300 (can't remember which) a few years back. And they seem to have trended a little higher than that in recent years, from what I've seen.

It included a lefty. One that was recently-sold for $750.

After my post, I did find some older discussions here about lefty sales and the higher lefty prices.

I saw an Olympic White lefty at Gruhn Guitars about 10 years ago, and it actually went for $750. I went to buy it and it was gone. That's the last time I saw an intact lefty anywhere remotely that cheap.

Agreed. In the last few years, with the exception of the one that sold this week, I've seen leftys sell for between $1100-1300 USD. If the one that sold this week holds up, it's a killer deal. We'll see if it gets relisted at a higher price or if a player actually scored...

This bass would be an excellent piece to flip.

Well, after the luck I've had recently with my Höfner, I shan't be doing that type of flippage. ;)
