I believe a majority of the basses out there are Hofner 500/1 V63 Re-issues, below is a Hofner 500/1 V62 Reissue for sale.

From reading I believe McCartney had two main Hofners a 61 Hofner that was stolen during the Let it Be sessions and a 62 Hofner that was given to him in 1963. Not sure of the difference between the 62 and 63 Hofners outside of the 62 had two tuners on one strip and the 63 had 4 separate tuners. Information on the internet seems to conflict however most information points to McCartney having a 62 Hofner. None the less a cool bass for Beatles fans
