Pics posted. Looks to be in good shape. Is a 2001 a pretty good year for a P-bass? I'm looking pretty hard at buying one but my knowledge is limited. I was looking at possibly buying a brand new black American Standard but can't find one. What gives? Sorry not trying to derail. I've just read nothing but praise for the new American Standards |

So I just got done chatting with Fender and they're coming out with a new American Professional line? Maybe I'm late to the party but what a lame name. Can someone help me track down a NOS black American Standard? |

Donahue: I was also looking for a Precision and after reading online, I found out that Fender did a lot of improvements starting 2008 and more so starting 2012 (custom shop pickups amongs others). Now, this does not mean that other years such as he one offered from 2001 are no good, it might actually be very good, but I personally prefer to play it safe and buy a 2012 or newer. Especially that I do not the bad years for Fender, if there are any... |
