I have that exact bass, it is a very good instrument. Mine is slightly modded, new pots, cap and wiring, full shielding and I changed the pickguard to pearloid and standard knobs. It is strung with Chromes. The bass was just fine before the mods but with them I would say it is the equal to my MIM Fender jazz. |

Seventy-five bucks?! Wow! What a great price for a travel/beater bass! |

From the sale ad... "Sometimes it clips a bit when playing through an amp, not really sure why..." Dumb question here, but I've noticed this time-to-time with cheap basses, so I'm thinking it's just the way the cheap pickups are made/wound, or, is it the cheap pots/combination of both... |
