On the question of what does the 4th knob do (see below)
I have the same on my Pedulla and it gives you a wide range of sounds. In my eyes with many basses, Master Vol, Pick up Pan then Bass and Treble tone is the way to go.

Sometimes I really miss the sound of the low B on the neck-thru Pedulla ET5 I used to own. I can't say I played many other 5ers, but that low B was TIGHT. |

Gorgeous bass! Price seems a bit high. I'd throw a Bart preamp in there in a heartbeat. I believe Mark Egan uses a Pentabuzz with a two jazz configuration. He gets a super warm sound. |
