I've been following this one for quite a while - I think the price is crazy.

Yes the price is almost double what I would consider a good starting bid. When I was a kid, 16 years old in 1980, I wanted my first real bass. I wanted a Ric and my teacher (whom I asked for a recommendation) suggested the 1980 Music Man bass as these are amazing basses and at the time were around $350-$400. I went with the Ric, still have it today but always wanted one of these late 70's early 80 basses but again this price is not even worth thinking about.

As with all "Make An Offer" listings, the price of this bass is the lowest amount the seller is willing to accept.

Does anyone know what that amount is?
