This was one of the finishes available for these basses. You just don't see it very often :)

Quite steep for a 15 year old Fender. A new American Standard will cost about the same.

I think it's original - I used to have one of those natural versions - also bought at this shop back then... sold it a few years ago - sadly :lol:

But the used price is out of this world... this basses are around 800-900,- Euros ... (sold mine for 850,- Euros) ... so GLWTS :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

So far I've seen it in black, 3tsb and now in natural, cool! 8-)

I've seen a few in transparent orange I think they call it.

Yes, that would be Sunset Orange Transparent :)
I believe there's also a White Blonde.

Made in 2000. So not clear if this is one of the last Hot Rodded American Standards or one of the earliest Hot Rodded American Series. There are some subtle differences, and some less subtle differences like graphite rods in the neck of the latter.

Yes, I sold a white one here for a friend a few years back. It was a really good sounding bass, I wish I'd kept it!

Oh yeah and I also remember of the sunset orange for sale here on the board.
So they had a good variety of colors for this bass, awesome!
