A quick search got me something about the brand: Made in Argentina - and pretty crappy, according some (Argentinean, written in Spanish) reviews.

Looks like they been around for a quite a while and their site (from 2002) only shows knock offs...

I'm surprised that they're being made so recently. These days you don't see many people openly illegally using the Fender headstock. It really amuses me to see the J pickup on the P in that position.

Hah! my first guitar was a Faim - I remember taking the bus to the factory just outside Buenos Aires (in Lujan) to pick it up. It was a cheap Strat knock-off. As pointed out, not great quality instruments, but have been around for over 50 years, and probably any musician from Argentina has at some point in their lives played a Faim.
