I saw that last night, wondering if it's a Mexican or Squier or what? |

I emailed the guy. Will post up if he responds. Whatever it is, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the J pup was added as a mod. |

Emailed the owner. It's a 88 MIJ bass. Probably a good candidate for a refin. |

If I don't work for me but would be in decent shape I could also get it for you so no one snags it before you do all the drive Let me know! |

Overall it seems to be in a decent shape. It is EXACTLY the same as my Squier E series, even the body and size (32 inch scale). The neck plate is the same too. The pickguard is the original but was sprayed in silver at some point and then painted in green and the green paint is literally falling off. I added the custom made tort pickguard since the other one is thrashed but had to add another hole for the third knob. Removed the stickers and waxed the body, adjusted the truss rod and the bridge saddles, conditioned the fretboard and i have to say i'm pretty happy with the outcome. However i didn't got to play much with the electronics, i played with my headphones on and couldn't really tell much other than it works. There's a battery under the PG too, the routing seems to be well done, no chisel envolved The pickups on it are Seymor Duncan and they have this weird switches (3 on the neck PU and 3 on the bridge PU) and couldn't find much info about them. They are called "rocker switches" just like these ones in this pic i an including. I'll post some pics when i get a chance.

Neat idea. But my engineer brain can understand why they didn't take off. They seem like they would add more cost than cachet. |

I'd Cachet my fingers on them all the time Looks like the switches are at the bottom on a righty oriented bass, so perhaps a little more out of the way? Intrigued to hear more... |

Wow, the bass cleaned up nice, and the tort guard really looks good on the bass! Would like your review eventually on the rockers... by switching them, do you get usable sounds? |
