Great Description but forgot one key piece.......... get that Cheap Trick sound. I am sure several folks have 12 string but if I got one it would be for Cheap Trick covers.

Glad they make these for lefties but note sure I would pay that kinda money. I have seen 8 string basses in a lower cost range maybe someday they will make a 12 string for under $1500 or $2000.

Or Pearl Jam. :ugeek:

I've GASsed on this bass so many times. It's been listed on Reverb for a very, VERY long time... at least 6 or 7 years.

I don't think that means anything, necessarily... just that there isn't much market for a $3K 12-string Hamer.

I wish I had the money to blow on it.

Tell me about it... I've been watching this one for years too... would love to just try playing one!

I believe Dale at SHR has (or had) a black one at a higher price point.

Like the rest of us I've been gassing over this beast for a long time!

Personally, I prefer an 8-string.

What I don't like about this ad., it doesn't say ANYTHING about whether it's construction is "Set-Neck" or "Neck-Through".
That is A LOT of string tension, and I'd constantly worry about the neck/action screwing up.

You recalled correctly.
