From the listing: Quote: Want to make something really cool and appetizing out of what once was a $3000 piece of wood? Here ya go! You can actually feel the seller's eyes rolling as he put this up for sale. |

By the way it's worn you can tell it was used by a right handed player so he probably chopped it off trying to make it comfortable. |

Luckily there are "no issues other than the modified shape". This is criminal. |

I agree with all the comments but a quick question, how can anyone tell this is a real Fender let alone from 65? I agree the seller knows that it's a piece of history that has been trashed but I do not see any evidence that it's a modified 65 Fender body outside of his side of the story. |

Thats a good point Bob. |

Ah, the ol' Crying V returns. On a semi-serious note, I wonder how possible it would be to have a luthier sort of re-shape that hunk of shit by adding alder to it and making it back into a jazz bass? Probably expensive, but on a 60s model lefty, maybe worth it (?) |

As a jazz bass fanatic, I find this piece very disturbing. |

The original eBay listing shows that someone bought the bass for $99.95, so it appears the buyer thinks he can double his money, as the Reverb listing has it listed for $199.95.... hard to believe it sold in the first place. |

It's listed by the same seller. He also has it up on Ebay again too. Must not have sold. That seems to happen on Ebay a lot. They always give the reason as a non payer. |
